Obituary for Roger Paul Lindner

Roger P. Lindner, 64, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Prairie Lakes Hospital.

Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown with Father Paul Rutten officiating. Music will be provided by Micah Wetzel as song leader accompanied by Danielle Holmquist-Holida.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15th at the Wight &
Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown.

Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Watertown, SD.

Pallbearers will be Lynn Engels, Chuck Wright, Ryan Vandusseldorp, Rob Radermacher, Kevin Lindner and Greg Gusso.

Roger Paul Lindner, son of Peter and Helen (Freesemann) Lindner was born on April 29, 1954 in Watertown, SD. He grew up in Watertown where he attended school, graduating from Watertown High School in 1972.

On May 15, 1982 he married Janice Rieffenberger in Watertown. The couple lived in Watertown and had three sons, Richard, Ryen and Rory. Roger had two sons, Rob and Phillip. Roger was a truck driver for 30 years, retiring in 2014.

He enjoyed spending time with his grand kids, his dog, "Bella" and enjoyed working on classic cars with his family, moving snow with his tractor, and watching Nascar.

Roger is survived by his wife, Janice; their sons, Richard "Rick" (Laci) Lindner, Ryen (Ashley) Lindner, Rory (Kelly) Lindner of Watertown, Rob Lindner and Phillip Lindner; four grandchildren, Tanner, Brenna, Abel and Oaken; his siblings, Kathy Stewart of Watertown, Jerry (Anita) Lindner and Margie Nevins of Kenbridge, VA, David (Sheila) Lindner of Florence, SD, and Carol (Rodney) Gusso of Watertown; and his nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his parents-in-law, Larry and Verene Rieffenberger; his brother, Richard; two brothers-in-law, Tryon Nevins and Jim Stewart; two nephews, Bob Gusso and Kelly Nevins; and his niece, Mandie Rieffenberger.
