Mark Wendell Schwitters was born January 8, 1958, the son of Enno and Hermena (Meyer) Schwitters in Willmar, MN. He graduated from Central Minnesota High School in 1976.

He was married to Laurie Summerland between 1986 and 2005. They lived in rural Clara City where Mark was involved in farming. Later they moved to Wisconsin and Mark worked in sales for an aerial photography company. He moved back to the Clara City area and later to Watertown, SD in 2006. That year he helped start Morningstar Photography. He married Kari Outland in 2007 and they were married for 3 years. In Watertown, he was very active in the support of Watertown Christian School.

Mark was a much loved uncle to his many nieces and nephews. They have fond memories of times with Uncle Mark, especially during the lake vacation with the Schwitters family. He was active in teaching them to ski, tube, and kneeboard, and entertained all the family with fireworks on the lake. Ben, Megan, and Lily Outland came into his life in 2007 and his outpouring of love for them was evident to all.
Mark was a member of Bunde Christian Reformed Church in Clara City,MN, and later New Life Evangelical Free Church in Watertown. His faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord was the most important thing in his life and we rejoice in his homecoming.

Mark is survived by his dearly loved children, Ben, Megan, and Lily Outland; his siblings: Charles (Bette) Schwitters, Judy (Henry) Gunnink, Brad (Carolyn) Schwitters, and Brian (Sheryl) Schwitters, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews along with other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two great nephews, and one great great niece.
