Jeanette Ann Schomaker, 89, of Watertown, SD passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Jenkins Living Center. Funeral Mass will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 28, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clear Lake, SD.  Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Clear Lake, SD. Father Kenneth Koster will officiate, Clarice Uckert will be the organist, Ellen Schmahl will be the cantor with the St. Mary's Choir. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Clear Lake. Casketbearers will be Joshua Haas, Andrew Haas, Kevin Harden, Joseph Schomaker, Russell Schomaker and Darrin Schomaker. Jeanette Ann Schomaker was born April 25, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Joseph A. and Catherine L. (Netz) Walterman. Jeanette married Charles J. Schomaker March 31, 1951 at St. John-Dryridge in Cincinnati. Jeanette was a busy housewife and mother. The couple moved to Clear Lake, South Dakota in 1979. Charles passed away June 17, 2018. Jeanette enjoyed crocheting, gardening and baking. Jeanette is survived by her children, John (Donna) Schomaker and Donald (Vickie) Schomaker all of Hamilton, OH, Mike (Penny) Schomaker of Montevideo, MN, Dennis (Maureen) Schomaker of Cannon City, CO, Gary (Erika) Schomaker of Naples, FL, Kathy (Lyle) Haas and JoAnn Duran all of Clear Lake, SD and Charles (Barb) Schomaker of Brandt, SD; 32 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; her son, Timothy Schomaker; four sisters; two brothers; one granddaughter, Jacklyn Schomaker; and one great-granddaughter, Emily Horstman.
