Obituary for Dianne Jean Bohls

Dianne J. Bohls, 71, of Watertown, SD, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer's on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Jenkins Living Center.

Funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March, 11, 2019 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown with Father Brian Eckrich as celebrant. Music will be provided by the Immaculate Conception Funeral Choir accompanied by Helen Gollnick.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., with a scripture service at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown.

Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Watertown, SD.

Pallbearers will be Kris, Tony, Andy Kietzmann, James Pietz, Hunter and Hayden Bohls.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Jenkins Living Center Heart's Delight Program or Prairie Lakes Hospice.

Dianne Jean Bohls was born on November 5, 1947 to James and Ardis (Pagel) Rindels in Watertown, SD. She attended school in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School in 1966. She then attended one year of cosmetology school.

On September 2, 1967 she married Richard E. "Dick" Bohls at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown, SD. Three children, Scott, Todd and Sara were born to this union. Dianne worked as a hairdresser for 12 years. She had been a resident at Jenkins Living Center since November of 2012.

Dianne was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Her hobbies included bowling, gardening, reading, playing cards, and puzzles. But mostly, she enjoyed spending time with family and was an avid hockey mom and grandma.

Dianne is survived by her sons, Scott (Laura) Bohls and Todd (Brooke) Bohls; her daughter, Sara (James) Pietz; her brother, Darwin Rindels; and five grandchildren all of Watertown, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard "Dick" Bohls, her brother, Daryle Rindels, and her brother-in-law, John "Jack" Bohls.
